A useful first conversation

Your place.
Our starting point.

Send us a photo of the site — free rendering of the piece in your space within 48 hours.

Tell Dave where it is going, what it should mean and the date you have in mind. We will work through scale, material and delivered price together.

For a custom portrait, we will explain which reference photos are useful after the first conversation.

Up to 3 site photos, 50 MB each. The first photo is required for a rendering; photos are optional for a price request.

No payment or commitment. We start with the place.

Before you commission

The practical questions.

How long does a commission take?

Plan on 90–150 days. Your proposal sets the production and delivery window for the selected design. Tell us your dedication or opening date before commissioning; a complex design or a late approval can change the schedule.

What do I approve?

Three stages: the model or shop drawing, photographs of the finished piece, and photographs of the piece in its crate. We confirm the design, material, dimensions and finish with you before production.

What is included in the price?

Your selected piece, protective crating, insured freight to the curb, three photo approvals and the technical installation package. Anchor hardware and fountain equipment are specified in your written proposal. Site work, foundations, unloading and setting beyond the curb are quoted separately.

Who installs the piece?

Your landscaper, contractor or rigging crew can set the piece using the technical package: anchor and pad drawings, a step-by-step guide, a video walkthrough and a live technician call. An in-person installation crew is available on request and quoted for your site. Installation support.

How do delivery and unloading work?

Delivery is insured to the curb. Access, crated size and weight, unloading equipment and the final route into position are confirmed before shipping. Crane service, special liftgate arrangements and handling beyond the curb are quoted separately.

Can a fountain stay outside in winter?

Stone choice and care depend on the climate. Your proposal includes the relevant care requirements. In freezing conditions, fountains need proper draining and winterization; water must not be allowed to freeze inside the basin, plumbing or pump.

What happens if a piece arrives damaged?

Photograph the crate before opening, note visible damage on the delivery receipt and contact us promptly with photographs. Keep the packaging while we assess a claim. Covered damage in transit is repaired or remade at our cost under the agreed commission terms. Read Shipping & Delivery.

How do payment and returns work?

Card deposits up to $5,000; the balance by wire. Card checkout places a temporary authorization hold for the full order total. Commissioned pieces are final sale once production begins. Your approved proposal governs the specific piece, delivery and payment terms. Read commissioned-piece terms.
