Your idea, commissioned
Another subject. Another scale. A piece that begins with your place.
Tell us what you have in mind ↗Renderings shown. Each piece is made to order; you approve photos of your actual piece at three stages before it ships.
The making
Drawings and a model from your photographs, refined until you approve the likeness. Then the bronze is cast, chased and given its patina.
How it works
Nothing travels unseen
Review the model or shop drawing. Confirm proportions, details, dimensions and the direction of the work.
See your actual piece from every relevant angle before it is packed. Review the finish and the details.
Approve photos of your piece protected in its crate. Confirm the delivery plan before it travels.
A useful first conversation
Send us a photo of the site — free rendering of the piece in your space within 48 hours.
Tell Dave where it is going, what it should mean and the date you have in mind. We will work through scale, material and delivered price together.
For a custom portrait, we will explain which reference photos are useful after the first conversation.
Before you commission
Plan on 90–150 days. Your proposal sets the production and delivery window for the selected design. Tell us your dedication or opening date before commissioning; a complex design or a late approval can change the schedule.
Three stages: the model or shop drawing, photographs of the finished piece, and photographs of the piece in its crate. We confirm the design, material, dimensions and finish with you before production.
Your selected piece, protective crating, insured freight to the curb, three photo approvals and the technical installation package. Anchor hardware and fountain equipment are specified in your written proposal. Site work, foundations, unloading and setting beyond the curb are quoted separately.
Your landscaper, contractor or rigging crew can set the piece using the technical package: anchor and pad drawings, a step-by-step guide, a video walkthrough and a live technician call. An in-person installation crew is available on request and quoted for your site. Installation support.
Delivery is insured to the curb. Access, crated size and weight, unloading equipment and the final route into position are confirmed before shipping. Crane service, special liftgate arrangements and handling beyond the curb are quoted separately.
Stone choice and care depend on the climate. Your proposal includes the relevant care requirements. In freezing conditions, fountains need proper draining and winterization; water must not be allowed to freeze inside the basin, plumbing or pump.
Photograph the crate before opening, note visible damage on the delivery receipt and contact us promptly with photographs. Keep the packaging while we assess a claim. Covered damage in transit is repaired or remade at our cost under the agreed commission terms. Read Shipping & Delivery.
Card deposits up to $5,000; the balance by wire. Card checkout places a temporary authorization hold for the full order total. Commissioned pieces are final sale once production begins. Your approved proposal governs the specific piece, delivery and payment terms. Read commissioned-piece terms.
